Penelope you did it again! Wow definitely 5 stars and a great start to another great series from the author. Couldn’t put it down I read it a day and half. Starting the next book right away the cliffhanger left me hooked. Luckily I don’t have to wait for the next book. All of Penelope’s books are worth it and she usually gives a free book or two which hooks me every time.

Don’t get me wrong is a great book, but characters don’t change is like Penelope is constantly using the same profile. A poor woman being someone’s property and a despicable man that ultimate falls in love.... in Italy. I would love to read a ore refreshable story

Penelope has done it again! Balto for being the king of the underground criminal world, he has a soft side for Cassini, but I suspect it may change in the next book and she will want to hate him!

okay.....WHAT AN ENDING. Balto went ice cold! That was something I didn’t see coming. And I like that!!! Unexpected... definitely has me EXTREMELY excited for Skull Crusher. Ugh, I need a drink after that intensity. You go, Pene. You know how to keep things fresh and interesting after all of these stories you have written.

A new Pene Alpha to love

Balto just might beat out Crow in my Pene Alpha loves. I have been anxious for her to write about a male who isn’t afraid to admit he likes the female lead in the first book and she not be deceiving him somehow! I can tell it’s only getting started. With 2 more books to go I can’t wait to see how this all plays out!!

I ❤️ the story plot between Balto & Cassini. He struggles with with being the villain & finding himself fallen a beautiful woman that isn’t afraid of him. I can’t wait to see how the rest of their relationship unfolds. I am never disappointed when I read a book by Ms. Sky.

I’ve always had this idea of what a member of the skull kings was like and let me tell you I was wrong. The characters of the book are so much better than I could imagine. I’m looking froward to reading the next book and if it’s anything like the frost it will be GOOD.

The Skull Kings have been a powerful and ruthless group, one that most tried to avoid unless they needed heavy backup. Balto is their fearless and arrogant leader. Only Penelope Sky can take a villan and make them a human that we like. He becomes fixated on a beautiful woman, and offers to provide an out to the miserable life she is stuck in. Cassini follows her family value of you are only as good as your word. She accepts her fate of spending her life with another villain that she is disgusted by. Balto is shocked to find out she is married to his enemy, he has already killed his brother why not take his wife. Come on May, the excitement of this series will be amazing

Can I just say that Penelope is just a rock star?! The Skull King was amazing!!! Soo much story! So much detail and real ness, a constant gasp type of read! I love all of Penelope’s books, been a fan for years! This has got to be a new favorite! I love the story line and how it’s not a typical predictable book. Constant page turner, needing and wanting more. I can’t wait to see how the story continues in The Skull Crusher!!!

WOW!!!! That’s really all I can say about this book.. I love all of Penelope Sky books but I think this one is really different from the others.. The cliffhanger was unbelievable!!! Come on May 7 the wait is gonna be torture!!!

Made an unlovable villain lovable

Penelope took the one character out of all of her other books that I never thought that I would care for and made me love them. I never thought we would see a Skull king book. She took a villainous character and made him human. He’s cocky, arrogant, and self assured and just what she needs. A forbidden romance that is doomed from the beginning. He knows she’s married but he doesn’t know to whom. She knows he’s ruthless but she doesn’t know who he is. And once again I am completely devoted to these characters. I can’t wait for the next book.

Shocked!

Reading all her other books and Balto being the skull king, the bad guy in all the books I never thought Penelope sky would make me fall in love with him. I love how she makes the characters feel real like I’m in the story witnessing this in person. I read this book in a matter of hours I couldn’t put it down! I need the second book to come sooner than May.

Couldn’t put this one down.

This book was fantastic. I’ve read all of Penelope Sky’s books and then usually have a pretty set format. It’s usually three books the main guy which always has a brother or significant other that doubts him the woman that has some obstacle to overcome and they work it out through three books. But you can throw that all out the window I like predictable authors because she’s fantastic. I read this book the night it was released to cover to cover. I pre-ordered it and it was in my calendar counting down till it was actually released. I don’t like reviews it give too much away but needless to say it was fantastic after all it’s 4:26 AM and I cant put the book down until it’s finished it. The only complaint I have about this book is that I have to wait for a book two because the first one was so great.
